As a response to protests from divers worldwide and the pressure from Egyptian associations, fishing is again forbidden in the National Park of Ras Mohamed. Last week the Governor of South Sinai had issued an unpopular decree, allowing Bedouins fishing in the National Park, while the spawning season for the Snapper started.
John Kean, our wreck expert, is going on a 16.000 km trip together with the underwater photographer Yann Vautrin on two KTM motorbikes. The Coloured Seas Trip features Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.
Collectively, these countries surround the Red Sea, Black Sea, White Sea and some parts of the Mediterranean Sea (which was known as the Arabic White Sea in older times).
